When traveling with children, practicality is a necessity, not a luxury. From this point of view, discovering the Castles and Museums of the Langhe offers a great help, since some of the most beautiful museums are actually housed in castles.

First of all, the Barolo Wine Museum (WiMu), which, inside the ancient home of the Falletti Marquises, allows you to immerse yourself in the emotional, historical and cultural aspects of wine, without neglecting the artistic aspect which, instead, pays homage to territory and the historians and illustrious inhabitants of this sumptuous building.

Visiting families is recommended on the first Sunday of each month, when this bastion of adult taste also speaks the language of the little ones. The choice, always by reservation, is between the family visit and the family game: the first is a guided tour suitable for children, while the second, with the help of a map / game, invites the family to go in search of details and details to share then, whoever wants it, on Social. The activities aimed at families start at 3.00 pm and the entrance fee is € 6.00 for adults, € 3.00 for children, free up to 5 years, to which add 6 euros per family for the family visit. For the family game, on the other hand, the additional cost to that of admission is 3 Euros per family. Hidden in the basements, instead of a princess to be saved, it hosts the Regional Enoteca of Barolo where all the secrets of this wine worthy of such a royal residence are kept! The Museum offers visits and activities for families (complete calendar on the WiMu website for families) and for schools.

Another castle that houses a beautiful museum is that of Grinzane Cavour, where the famous Count is the great protagonist. In addition to being able to visit the main rooms of the Castle and discovering a great deal about the political exploits of Camillo Benso, on the top floor of the Museum, a real journey into wine is made that deals above all with his two-way relationship with health. Children in this room will be fascinated by the large bottle that dominates the room
